i just have to say something...

i just feel that i have got to have a comment about this wowowee stampede that happened yesterday in ultra..

yeah.. the one where 79 Filipinos died coz they were DYING to be on the show.. and around 500 were injured in the said stampede.. yeah, that one...

c'mon people, let's not blame the show or the network and neither should we blame the people who went there.. it was not their fault really..

i am blaming poverty! the government! the GMA administration!

i don't f*cking care if the peso is getting stronger everyday.. are there jobs available for the Filipinos? are they employing more people? hell no! i so doubt it!

If there were only a small fraction of Filipinos in the Philippines who are jobless, would there be that much people lining up and staying in ultra for days, or a week even, just to get into that game show hoping that they would bring home some $50 from the balikbayans? would there be so many people hoping to get that P2 million up for grabs? i don't think so..

let's get real.. it wasn't their fault that they were giving hope to millions of Filipinos.. It is not their fault that so many people liked their show.. Filipinos are searching for heroes who would save them from their poverty stricken life.. Who would want to live in a hell hole? No one!

In my opinion, it was neither the people's fault nor was it the show organizers, it is the government's fault. If only they had adequate programs to educate the Filipinos. If only there were adequate jobs for the people. The tragedy wouldn't have happened. If only.....

to madame president and her administration: WAKE UP! THE ECONOMY IS NOT AS GOOD AS YOU THINK IT IS! no budget? i think you have to get in line and win some in WOWOWEE!
