After STAT

We had our first stat long test last friday.. I did not study that much again (as usual) and i did not take decent notes in class.. so when it was time for the test i had no idea where to find the sample problems in my notes (it was an open all test).. damn! open notes/open books/ open all tests are really very hard especially if you do not have notes and you do not listen to the teacher.. note to self: "copy everything on the board and take note of what she says no matter how boring or irrelevant the topic is to me. it would be very helpful in the exams." sigh..

as planned, tiff, nikki, vikki, and i headed straight to eastwood to watch a local movie.. no one watches local cheesy movies in eastwood so it would be nice to watch there.. we met up with my sister near the ticket selling booth.. we went straight to cinema 4's selling booth.. we bought our tickets for.......... CAN THIS BE LOVE? wahahahahaha.. if ever we bump into someone we knew in the theater, then he would be 'jologs' too.. haha..

anyway.. the start of the movie annoyed me a bit.. the music was super loud and when the actual first scene started the music just 'vanished' .. it did not fade smoothly.. actually the movie lacked transitions.. most of the time they were using 'cut to the next scene' transitions.. i would volunteer to fix those transition problems.. hehehe.. there were scenes that were just not needed.. like the scene when ryan (hero angeles) first saw daisy (sandara park) in the convinience store.. he was staring at daisy which i think is actually rude.. and there was this scene when two unknown people were dancing in a park in manila.. very uncalled for.. tsk tsk tsk.. they also had an intro that was quite long.. the ending was fit into a scrapbook wherein it showed memorabilias of daisy's past and the future events that happened.. the goodbye part could have been a nice ending but filipinos like happy endings.. i think that is why they made that scrapbook thing.. another thing that they could have done is cut the scenes that were not really needed and establish how daisy convinced her dad to permit her to marry ryan.. just a suggestion..

all in all the movie was ok.. it had its kilig moments and it tackled problems that the country is facing like filipinos leaving the country to work in developed nations, the importance filipinos give to imported stuff (roderick paulate looking for 3 lost corned beef cans and muttering "imported yun eh!!!"), and filipinos stereotyping foreigners.... it also showed how hard it is for non-english speaking foreigners to adjust to the philippine setting..

the highlight of the movie was when the boss (Tirso Cruz III) was sharing his experiences to his employees.. why? well in that part, nikki decided to answer her cellphone so she got up and walked down the stairs.. apparently, she missed a step so.... yeah... that's what hepped.. i did not understand what the boss was trying to say because i kept on laughing.. hehe.. (hi nikki!!! peace tayo ha...)

after the movie, we decided to go around eastwood.. we went to the STYLE CENTRAL.. we did not know it was like a bazaar place too.. it was nice.. there were a lot of stuff girls would love.. and it was airconditioned.. hehehe..

after that, we dint really have anything else to do so we dared nikki to get a makeover in the meg thing.. we accompanied her.. hahaha!!! we all got makeovers! it was funny.. it was, like, too high school! hahaha.. it was something i never did in my life.. it was fun going through it.. haha!
