A Bonfire Anecdote

http://prettypauline.multiply.com/journal/item/374/a_bonfire_anecdote

oh, the perks of watching a lot of tv shows and movies. read the dialogues lang if you're tamad.

last night at the bonfire, i had an encounter with a guy when my brother was in line to get autographs. my brother poj, a grade schooler, had no phone and no one with him when he was in line. when my sister and i saw our cousin hannah with her friends and her chaperon, we told our brother to stay with our cousin so that he'd have someone with him. my sister and i went back to our business, knowing that my brother's safe na. i got gatorade for my thirsty sister while my sister got 2 cans of beer for alcoholic little me.

ate phoebe left her spare phone with poj. poj then called my sister and he was crying. apparently, some guy shouted at him for line-cutting and kicked him out of the line. i felt that my brother needed help so my sister and i went back to him to ask who the guy was. it was a college student right behind where my brother originally was. he wore a white psyche shirt and looked like a dead kid. i got surprised to see he was with his girlfriend. siguro pareho silang walang friends. ewan.

so we told poj to get back in the line because he might be missing again. i mean, the fuck, ang laking event ng bonfire. mahirap maghanap ng nawawalang grade school student. the guy then told me and my sister to stop being bad influences to our brother. amputa! b.i. kami for putting our brother in a safer place? he sure picked the wrong people to mess with. malabo sha ng bongga. my sister and i explained to the makulit college student but he wouldn't listen because he thinks he's right and i think it's like the scene in movies when the dorks start to step up but end up losing anyway. isipin mo, an ls student would bully a grade schooler just because of an autograph? :)) i'm sorry, i don't need photo ops with people i see around school.

excerpts

(a=asshole, p=pauline)

p: may i get your name and your i.d. number?
a: why? so you could sue me for philosophizing? (removes i.d.) i won't give it.
p: so that i could file the necessary complaints and.. i dunno, not make you graduate? (i'm guessing he's a senior. an immature senior)

(one of those life size standees bordering the line fall on him.)
p: o ayan. ngayon pa lang tinatabihan ka na ng player!
(i loooooved the expression on his face. it's pahiya at its finest)

p: eh if that were your sibling, young as he is, would you leave him alone while you stay here in front?
a: yes. i will let him sacrifice
p: ang dali sabihin no? but then i guess you're the type of person to do that. ang sama mo namang kapatid (smile)

what made him leave:
a: hindi yan logic. ethics yan.
p: ethics? how can you call it ethical when you're approaching the situation in such a rude way? alam mo, it's only now that i discovered, meron palang atenistang walang breeding.
a: kaya hindi umuunlad ang pilipinas eh.
p: oo nga eh. andito ka pa kasi.

(he leaves, but whispers something to his girlfriend before leaving)
hannah: he's a student here?
me: i guess so. he won't give his name and i.d. number
hannah: so do you see him around school?
me: (looks at his girlfriend and smiles) i don't see dead people.

well i'm not really mean, but like i said, i'd fight for friends and family when i have to. pati ako nagulat when i thought about what i did. pero, ang funny. parang improv lang.
